Almost Sunny Morning

This is my first serious attempt at oil.  My reference was a misty seashore but i tried to keep the color key high and bring in some pale purples.  8"x10" canvas paper.  The oil is great in that you can scrub mistakes right off the canvas.  I must have scrubbed that dark foreground 10 times before it came close to done.  I still see a lot of areas for improvement, but overall its a positive step forward.

Sunny Day Veggies

This is an 8"x10" acrylic on canvas board.  The sun was fantastic and the temperature perfect.  I celebrated 2 hours in front of the easel with a nice cold beer.

Another house on a hill.  This is a small study (6"x5") in acrylic on canvas board.  The layout was different than my reference, i had to remove a girl picking flowers.

I like the way this house stood along in a field.  It is a study and I worked from a photo reference.  This is done with an acrylic base and oil overlay.  8.5"x11" on coated paper.
